The Idiocy of it All

Filed under: Insane in the Brain

Handmade bombs slow push against insurgents

U.S. Marines and Iraqi soldiers Friday battled an unseen enemy — the handmade bombs that the the military calls improvised explosive devices — on day seven of a major anti-insurgent offensive in northwestern Iraq. Meanwhile, Arabic-language news network Al-Arabiya reported that Saddam Hussein’s former deputy, Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, has died.

Let me see if I have this right. We invade a country. We overthrow their government. We kill AND torture their citizens, and we are SURPRISED that they are defending their homeland?
I seem to remember that you learned common sence before you became capable of politics.
