The clocks are striking 12, ringing in the year 2006.
We will be marching forth this year, to reclaim this nation, of the people, by the people….for the people.
This is going to be a multi pronged attack.
The press and blogasphere coverage must remain strong in reporting the outrages of the Bush Administration. We must also go after the puppets, or PAC’S of foreign governments who insist on our attacks, on the Arab/Muslim community. And last, but not least, we must vote, to throw the yahoo’s out of congress and return to a sane, stable fiscal policy that will not destroy what remains, of our former selves.
It’s going to be a lot of work, but, if you want to be reading this, or any other blog, this time next year, I suggest you take my advice.

Happy Holidays to all the folks out in the blogasphere, and those readers who depend on them for unbiased news.
It’s been a rough year for many, as it always has been. It seems that, at this time of year, everyone’s thoughts turn to charity, and others.
If that attitude could continue year round, this would really be a wonderful world.
We have much to do, in this coming year. We must rid this country of Bush and his cronies.
This year VOTE, like you have never have. Rid the government of the problems that we have suffered the last 5 years. Also, send the message to those we elect, that we will not tolerate another group like this past congress.
Have a wonderful holiday. Eat well, love often, and hug all the children.
DamSpot will be back January 1st.

Something that I notice about web blogs are that there are a number of cowards who tend to post comments under many different names. It seems that they enjoy stirring up the populace to a froth and then disappear, only to reappear under another name(s).
I post to several sites and notice that this is more of a problem in Liberal Sites than in Conservative sites.
That’s just fine. Since they have closed nearly all the hospitals that take care of mental patients, I guess they go to the web to attempt to justify, their existance.

As a supposed ‘Liberal’, I have a series of weird thoughts when it comes to issues such as Religion, Abortion, and the Death Penalty.
One thing that is missing from our society is accountability. It seems that as a whole, we seem to strive to allow justification for all the things that we have been told, or taught, that are contrary to what has been established as the ‘Rules of Society’.
And, this is not only for us, but for others as well.
For example.
We house people in prisons who have murdered others, paying for their upkeep, their education, and then are shocked and appalled when the time comes, to put them to death.
We find joy, in tobacco companies being sued for the cancers caused in consumers of their products, even though most people, who have been told of the health risks, continue to smoke, generally, right up until the day they die. Yet billions of dollars paid in health benefits go to try and keep these same people alive, while they continue to smoke.
So, where’s the responsibility, or accountability?
We, as Liberals are screaming for Bush to be held accountable (including yours truly) yet we are allowing people who kill, to live in comfort, drug or alcohol abusers being supported as victims.
Is it any wonder that people continue to kill?
Is it any wonder drugs and alcohol are abused?
Is it any wonder people continue to smoke?
There is no deterrent, or reason to stop anything. Our thoughts are pay me, and I’ll stop. Lock me up, and I’ll stop. Its societies fault.
Yeah? We’ll we are all society.

Things ‘Not to Do’ on Pearl Harbor Day.
Do not mention to a Vet, that you think Japan is swell.
Do not go out to a mall and yell ‘fire in the hole.’
Do not change the channel when Grandpa is watching Tora, Tora, Tora, on TBS for the 23rd hour.
Do not give a speech to vet’s when you have been AWOL from the Nation Guard.
And last, but certainly not least, when you fly American Airlines, don’t tell the air marshals you have a bomb, and then suddenly realize that you left it at home.

General Havoc.
Recently American auto makers General Motors and Ford have announced that they will be closing many of the production plants that they have in the US. Over burdened by liberal pension and health plans that were negotiated during the 60’s and 70’s with the UAW for both workers and retirees, and by the current energy shortages.
During previous strikes and plant closings, workers purposely left tools in door panels, no oil in engines, bolts missing from drive trains and suspension components. A good friend of mine was nearly killed driving a Chevy Wagon when the rear axle separated and caused a tremendous accident. Details of the settlement were not released.
Keeping this in mind, whose automotive products will you, be comfortable purchasing over the next year?

I’m not feeling very Christ like this year.
I guess I should have seen it coming, with all the bitching, whining and complaining going on amongst all the different Christian sects this year. All I hear is “We need to take back Christmas from being commercial.” “We should insist that people say ‘Merry Christmas’ as opposed to Happy Holidays.”
Well, lets get something straight here. Christ’s birthday was not, and never will be, on the 25th of December. Just like the date of his death, Easter, is never on the same day.
And, for you non Christians………IT”S A HOLIDAY PEOPLE! It’s not different than putting up a piñata for a kid’s birthday. Not different than a flag on the 4th of July. So, get over Nativities, get over Kwanza signs. If you don’t want to hear about Christmas, then stop trying to make money off of it, in your businesses.
And, for you Christians, you don’t have they patent on GOD. GOD was being worshiped thousands of years prior to the birth of Christ. So, YOU get over trying to make Dec 25th a religious holiday, when you can’t even get the dates right.
So, have a Happy Holiday this month and check in, with the Russian Orthodox Church.
They at least make an effort to get Christ’s birthday right!

Earlier this week, a woman in France, was alledgedly attacked by a dog. This dog severly bit her face. French doctors chose this woman to try a radical new type of surgery, which involved removing part of the facial skin, from a dying donor, and transplanting it onto the face of the bitten woman. From all accounts, to this point, the surgery is a success.
Now (you knew something was coming), I have been reading the news reports and the usual moralists are up in arms about playing God, etc, etc.
I’ve got no problems with that, or stem cell research.
What the problem is, was with the news report that came out today. It seems that the reason the dog had bitten the womans face, to begin with, was it’s attempt to wake her up, AFTER she attempted to commit suicide.
So, now we have a woman, who gets a radical transplant, piss’s off all the churcheys, gavanizes the Liberals, and gets a dog put to death. And, all she wanted to do, was kill herself.
That’s all I’ve got. There just aren’t any other words.

Twist to terror suspects row as logs show 80 CIA planes visited UK
Stephen Grey and Luke Harding in Berlin

The Guardian
The transatlantic row over the secret transfer of terror suspects by the Bush administration took a new twist yesterday when it emerged that more than 300 flights operated by the CIA had landed at European airports.
According to flight logs seen by the Guardian, Britain was second only to Germany as a transit hub for the CIA, which stands accused of operating a covert network of interrogation centres in eastern Europe. Several European governments have launched urgent investigations into whether clandestine CIA flights were used in the aftermath of September 11 to transfer Islamist prisoners to third countries where they could be interrogated beyond the reach of international law.
